Sir Rufus Pitt-Bulstrode - charming family photos
« on: December 02, 2021, 12:42:45 PM »
Sir Rufus Pitt-Bulstrode has released some charming family photos. He feels that if the threatened socialist invasion of Borsetshire should eventuate, it may be some time before the whole family will be together in one place.

Here we see Sir Rufus, as head of the family, prominent. He is accompanied by his two Afghan hounds, Esmeralda Golightly VII and Sinbad Restitution II.

Behind him is his Good Lady, memsahib etc - Lady Ferocity Pitt-Bulstrode with her Doberman bitch, called Bitch.

Behind her ladyship are the Pitt-Bulstrode children, now all adults. From the left, oldest to youngest, they are;
Lady Anticipation Pitt-Bulstrode; Lady Recreation Pitt-Bulstrode; Lady Persistence Pitt-Bulstrode; Lady Reality Pitt-Bulstrode; Lady Acceptance Pitt-Bulstrode and the Hon. Freddie Pitt-Bulstrode.

Sir Rufus wanted a son from the outset and it is thought that his daughters’ names reflect this long-thwarted ambition.

Here, Sir Rufus and Lady Ferocity look down fondly on their assembled brood whilst wondering when are the builders going to get the bloody windows in?

😀Well, my wife keeps saying I live in the past! Which reminds me - I need a new pair of spats and some new rolls for the pianola  :o

I can assure you, it’s entirely coincidental ;)

Following news of a truly shocking incident, it looks like Sir Rufus’ preparations for the possible socialist incursion will have to be put on hold. Details of what happened are not yet clear but it seems that Constable Smallbottom, acting directly on Sir Rufus’ orders, was attempting to arrest a member of the notorious Archer family. This gang, operating from their squalid base in the village of Ambridge, have used the uncertainty caused by the Civil War to wreak havoc in their locale. Constable Smallbottom appears to have been treated roughly and his equipment was deliberately damaged. In particular, his bobby’s helmet was toyed with most disrespectfully and it will take many days of good, hard buffing from his wife to restore it to its former glory. Constable Smallbottom is said to be traumatised.

Sir Rufus’ rage is repoted to be "volcanic" and it appears he is intending to settle the hash of the Archers by unofficial methods. He is mobilising his family and retainers for a crushing blow against the anti-social elements of Ambridge.

We await details of this forthcoming clash.

What a plethora of pulchritude! Lovely work.

As to Ambridge, exercise caution, my friend. A very unsavoury and insalubrious village. Constable Smallbottom should have had back-up!

Is that that the official Ambridge Tourist Board poster, Snappers? I’ve already booked into The Bull on that assumption.

The idea that a police constable, acting on the direct orders of the Lord Lieutenant, should require any more back-up than his regulation baton is shocking and emphasises the enormity of the Archers’ criminality.

Sir Rufus has an amazing brood of daughters, and now I understand where they're names originated but it is the matron of the family that wears the crown, Lady Ferocity Pitt-Bulstrode with her Doberman bitch, called Bitch and her double barrelled Purdy called ?.

Good question, Vaggers. The Purdy does have a name, as it happens. Confusingly, it’s also called bitch; to be totally accurate "the bitch" (lower case "b").

It is indeed, and I wish you joy of your stay!

There's a rumour circulating in Borchester, that Sir Rufus was the brains behind the explosion at Grey Gables. Any truth in that? A revenge attack perhaps, for the roughing-up of Smallbottom?   ;)

I can neither confit nor deny that rumour.
