The Land of the Lost - A Pulp Action Game
« on: December 07, 2021, 12:16:44 PM »
After the success (and lessons) of last years Christmas Pulp Game, Terror on Skull Island we're all set to go again this year! Welcome to, A Bad Day in the Land of the Lost! This game is set in 1919. Once again there will be four teams, jungle terrain, lots of critters, rope bridges, a deep ravine, angry natives and unbelievable events!

A warning to all, you best not to be a wayward Explorer in the Land of the Lost...you may end up on the locals menu!

Here's a couple of the Teams, the others are on the Blog;

From Great Britain! - The Fine British Explorers

Major Burke (twice retired!) - Hero Type - Revolver
Sir Sterling Silver - Hero Type - Revolver
Prof Thaddeus Bracegirdle -Trusty Chap - Revolver
Steel Balls - Trusty Chap - Shotgun
Dick Bonefat - Average Bloke – Elephant Gun
Watson Later - Average Bloke – Elephant Gun

From The Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic - The Bolshevik Expedition

Commissar Boris – Anti-Hero Type – Mauser C96 Automatic Pistol
Commissar Natasha – Anti-Hero Type – Nagant M1895 Revolver
Cheka Agent Yuri - Evil Chap – Nagant M1895 Revolver
Private Sasha - Evil Chap - Rifle
Private Anatole - Average Bolshevik - Rifle
Private Pavel - Average Bolshevik - Rifle

The The Land of the Lost table ready to go, all the Event driven terrain has been removed and the silver Event Marker discs are now discretely hidden by jungle looking lichen!

Looks like you are going to have a great game there. Intriguing write-up on your blog.

Incidentally, where does the man and the pot come from, scratch-build?

Thanks for the encouragement guys, looking forward to the game even though I’ll just be ‘moderating’ on the day!

MLS re the ‘explorer in the pot’ you are correct it’s one of my scratch-builds.

Captain, your attention to detail is highly commendable! Your gaming group is very lucky to have you. I can tell by the amount of effort you put it that you have as much fun running a game as playing, if not more. Sterling work sir!
