My warzone: Dark eden
« on: December 31, 2021, 03:54:39 PM »
Hello gentlemen
I know lot of you think as warzone as a sci fi game but There was a supplement wich is DARK EDEN :-*
this was and is still my favorite supplément which is located on a post apocalyptic eath
there is link to a slight explanation: https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/33522/warzone-dark-eden

I chose the Lutheran Triad ( the faceless ones) and the Templars ( the baddies to make it simple)
I love the Lutheran, I bought everything that was available at the time of Target Games.(I didn't get those of Excelsior)

I have a dear friend who's a great sculptor ( visit https://wintersbioforge.com/ espacially if you're interested in tyranids for epic)
But he also take commisions and, as a friend, He did some sculpting for my army for the tribes of the Ash kin the Kain kin and the Wrought kin.
here are some of the first sculpts he did for me .

My future leader

From the Ash Kin I asked for something simple, here's what he did!

The greymourn and his loader

with the goggles like in the artwork

There are other figures in the oven but he's got plenty of work so we agree that I can wait for a little while

I still thinking about the tartans I will make for them ( because those of the book are ugly as hell and they're just not tartans.
(if you got ideas I'm interested)

This will be tabletop level
First there will be the fusiliers ( and their attached greymours)

If you have some, advices ( especially on the tartans) please comment.

Best regards
Julien

They look good. I love the warzone world but know almost zero about the Dark Eden setting.

I remember the miniatures but not the supplement. Was the Warzone reboot any good. Was it Modiphius?

Hello Gentlemen
@ Major_Gilbert: yes he is, More than he thinks he is, here's the link of his site: https://wintersbioforge.com/
he takes commisions for everything 40k, Mordheim, ne cromunda, everything he's not too costly ( I think he's too cheap for the work he does) here are some shots of his Necromunda Scavies gang and a Charcharadon CharacterPlus a version of Kal jerico to show you he can alson paint this bast..d!

his scavy leader

His Zek

The Kal Jerico with lasgun as they were on the old one and the comic book

And Finally the Charcharadon Caracter
Irememind you he takes commissions :P

@Swiftnick: the Dark Eden setting is located on a desacrated and heavy polluted Earth that the corporations fled
there are 4 tribes :
-  the Sons of Raputin ( rusian and prusian inspired) it's the largest range still available on prince august warzone.
- the Templars ( french inspired, they are the real baddies of this setting because they are the only ones than can breathe without any respirators and launch crusades against every one because they think they are the real sons of Earth and that their vision is the right one).
- the Cresentians ( Arabic inspired) they live on gigantic beast enough to take an entire village on their back. Some of the entries might not be politically correct like the martyr wich is a suicide bomber..... it was another time
- the Luterians Triad, three kins that have their own skills, they are faceless because of the Cleasing, an operation which is done when a child is born the nose and the mouth are removed and replaced with 2 pipes linked to a Jehovah box attached to the back lower neck

Evidently threre are a few entries for the corporations the Brotherhood and the Dark legions ( some were made by excelsior miniature before they went bust)
But the expansion is largely self sufficient.

@ Sir_Shvanselot: yes there was a reboot by prodos games, they doesnr exists any more and their resin figure were too fine and badly made.

Now I think I've found the right tartan for some of my figure, I'll have a try and show you what I'm gonna do

Best regards
Julien

Back in the day I played a lot of Warzone and I found the Dark Eden suppliment fascinating. Your friend has done a lovely job on those new minis for you.

That's one of the most bad-ass Space Marines I've ever seen.
Can't wait to see it painted up.

That is some seriously good sculpting!  :-*

But it's your project of reviving a niche expansion to an almost forgotten game that really caught my eye. I love those (I have a few running myself ;) ), and this one in particular is wonderfully obscure and nineties.

I really love the leader with the standard; I hope to see it painted soon.
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

So I found this based on the name of the person starting the thread.   I used to have the ID kalebdaark but something went wrong and I couldn't get it back.   I'm glad to see there's another fan of the Champion of Malal out there!    Plus the minis and conversions here are pretty cool.  Have fun!

Your friend has done a great job on the Lutheran pieces.Love the banner on the standard.

Dark Eden was/is a great book.Loved the different factions and the addition of some of the Warzone forces involved on old Earth.

Shame that the Dark Eden creatures and riders never got released though.Same goes for the mounted Lutherans.

Scavy boss is really nice.Love the hood on it and pose.
