It's always a pleasure to see well painted Mutant Chronicles miniatures with excellent scenery too.  :-*

Almost a year later and the Kickstarter of Warzone Eternal is about to be shipped...so my Necrovat juices started flowing again and I just wanted to paint more Warzone. This time I wanted to do a classic Razide paint scheme, based on an art piece by Paul Bonner. I didn't have a spare Razide, so I decided to use a Nasca Razide instead. With Eternal the Razides and Nascas more of the same, so that made it an easy choice.
So I wanted a classic colour scheme for the Razide but doubted a bit if I wanted a pinkish finish or a reddish finish. Both colours are used in the art of Mutant Chronicles and I love both. So I went with red! He was fun to paint, I love doing reds. And to make sure the skin was more vibrant I applied several glazes of inks and fluorescents to get it more intense.
Another Razide done, that's my first. And with the delivery of Eternal I will have a fourth one too. But that one must get a Nazgaroth, the classic.

Awesome work (as usual). Love the colour transitions on the arms.

Were the cables in the skintone a consious decision, or was it a happy little accident?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Cheers man! Yeah, normally I would have painted the cables in a contrasting colour. But interestingly, they are red in Bonner's art (and in the art by others too)! So I kept them in skintones :)

Excellent stuff. The colors are spot on.
