The close up of the shore where the varnish has dried looks really good, realistic.
Hopefully the rest will dry out the same.

I agree, it certanly gives the impression of moving water. fingers crossed it dries clear.

My only concern would be that the new layer will prevent the original one from drying... I know it's an easy thing to say but thinner layers dry faster.
So many projects..... so little time.......

Love the boats and especially that they can accommodate the minis with ease, great project in general!

sorry to complain, but the yoke of the cart has to sit on the shoulders of the mule, between bladebone and neck
in that position You either kill the mule or the Yoke slips off the back

pleased to be of use  ;)

btw, that is how we (archaeologists) find out if an animal was used for draft : usually the scapula has grown extra cartilage mass to extend the angle of the muscles due to heavy work

Does cartilage not decay along with the muscles then? I'd have assumed it would rot.

with age
and a lifelong hard work, cartilage solidifies to a bony mass (ossification)
our ribcage e.g. is cartilageous in the front, but gets stiff with age
that's why old people are breathing heavily, because it is less flexible

if You find the skeleton of an old man, the ventral rib parts will be preserved because the cartilage has ossificated.
same with a draft animal - these are usually kept longer (training, muscles) and get old
slaughter animals are raised only up to full growth, thus most cartilage isn't preserved

this is the short version...
