I have accumulated a very large collection of 15 mm AWI figures and a great many of them are primed and ready for painting - though many still to prepare. There is even some non-primer paint on a smallish portion.
I am setting myself the goal of having them all painted by the 250th anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord. And if I don't quite make that goal, then what is left needs to be painted by July 4, 2026 for the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. One of my ancestors, one Oliver Wolcott, was a signatory of that document so let's call it a goal in his honor.
That's almost three years or, maybe, a bit shy of four years to get it all done. Given the total number of figures, that is a lofty goal, especially considering it is but one period I will be working on over that same time frame.
But having the goal is the first step: "Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishments" (Jim Rohn)
Good thing I am retired now or I'd have no chance of meeting the goal.
Progress to be posted here once some is made - probably in August though July is not entirely out of the question but other painting goals supersede.
