Koppi, thanks for posting this. Very interesting and quite good reference. I've seen a couple of scratchbuilt and 3D printed U-boats in games over the years; both in 20mm (St. Nazaire game) and 28mm. They are always very impressive.

Thank you Koppi. I had not heard the news of his passing.

Das Boot is indeed a superb film. It is one of the very best war films ever made. It brings home the futility of war and the sacrifice of so many millions of lives at the whims of a few dictators.
