Those bases are really well designed. Looking forward to seeing another battle!

Wow super impressive stuff. Love the mass of figs and all the buildings. I am interested in your results of the Peter Pig rules as well -I have plan to try those but not got to them yet.

Quite a bit of work and very nice.

Have a very minor quibble on your bases - they look too golf course green but that could be easily remedied with a bit of gentle dry brushing to get more variation.  I'm sure a challenge in 6 mm but I think worth the effort.  You would go from very nice bases to really spectacular bases if you can pull it off.  But really love the extra effort and bits of detail you added, especially all the critters.

And the sheer numbers of figures is a real "wow" spectacle.

Had never herd of Perfect Six but checked them out - adds a number of items that helps tempt me to consider 6 mm, not that I have the remotest need to add anything beyond a few planned purchases!  So thanks for the heads up.

I've still not got around to trying the PP game yet. Inevitably got sidetracked into something else.

Just seeing if I could get away with using some of my Japanese fields with the Saxon village.

I've replaced some of the trees in the village with new ones made from the excellent Lazy Forger 3D printed armatures.

The start of a Viking Age project in 6mm. The ultimate aim is Brunanburh, but that will need a lot of figures given the nature of the bases. To begin with, I'm going to do enough Vikings and Saxons for a few games and go from there. Bases are 40mm square, all figures are by Baccus:

How many minis per base?

Having got back into ‘Shattered Lances’ rules for crusades, I thought I’d have a quick go at using them for Vikings v Saxons. They worked OK with some minor tweaks, but all the decisions are at the unit level, rather than the division or army level. I usually prefer it the other way round, so I think I’ll try ‘Glutter of Ravens’ next, and see if spending points on formation, aggression etc might be better to give the feel of a game from the POV of the army commander.
