Cheers Andy.
The Hmg's are from North Star of the Great War Miniatures A7V, I contacted Nick & he very Kindly sold me some.

The tapers on the guns were made by clamping a mini drill in a vice and putting a 35mm length of plastic rod in the chuck and using a new stanley knife blade gentley to turn down the rod to the desired shape.  :D

WOW great stuff. :-* :-*
Good luck with the rivets.  ;D
Any chance of a picture next to some figures to get an idea of the final size.

Keith, that's fabulous so far! I'm sure you will manage the riveting just as good!

Here's some size comparison pictures:

I've started doing the rivet detail using Beading (graining) tools & green stuff.
Here's a close up of the front glacis plate.

I did about 80 last night only about another 500 to go  :(

WOW looking good :-*
The rivets look great, just like the real thing.
But I don't have the patience to do it that way. Good luck.

Hi andy I've used a jewelers beading tool, which is like a little punch with an inverse dome in the end.
Here's a link to the page in the Osprey Panzer modeling page with them being used:
http://books.google.co.uk/books?id=RAEdxELgzy0C&pg=PA27&lpg=PA27&dq=Beading+Tools+(Grainers)&source=bl&ots=w5Mn8jPdEr&sig=yc6LX_88tP4lJEDBpwq7x141vZw&hl=en&ei=YNH7StOANY3SjAfWqZSPBQ&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=1&ved=0CBUQ6AEwAA#v=onepage&q=Beading%20Tools%20(Grainers)&f=false

What i have done though is roll out green stuff into a sausage & cut off a bit and stick it where i want the rivet head push in the grainer remove the excess & your left with a little rivet.
I bought a few grainers from Shesto at 40p each though you do need to spend £10 (post free) they do sell lots of other stuff though.
