Thanks, I got the heads at a discount store.  They were really cheap aquarium pieces.  I got the idea when I was doing Season 3's Round 10 entry for LPL (Lost Worlds themed).  I never got them done in time (or started!)... ::)

Then Strange Aeons' Scenes of Horror contest came along and gave me new motivation to move them past the WIP, based stage...

They're both great, but I wouldn't consider D@rth J@ymZ's entry scary. It seems out of genre for that. Awesome none the less however. :)

I personally find giant stone heads quite terrifying... ;)

Finally finished!  Terrain has never really been my strong point, so this project was a bit of a challenge for me.  Pretty pleased with the results:

Sacrificial Altar - my first time working with insulation foam, so the edges didn't come out as nicely sloped as I'd hoped.  The altar itself went well though.  Cthulhu statues are repaints from the Fantasy Flight Bag o' Cthulhu, altar plinth is a 40mm base.

Graveyard - odd that my least inspired piece seems to be the one that came out the best.  Uncle Mike's tombstones, and finally a use for my classic West End Figures Books of the Dead!

Abandoned Mine - this one took two tries, as my first design fell completely flat.  Simpler turned out to be better.

Those are fantastic!  Are they based on CDs?

Thanks guys - glad you like them.  Everything is indeed based on CDs.

Now I just need to play a big enough game to actually use the things!
