Interesting.  The first clip is from the same people that did The Call of Cthulhu, which I quite enjoyed.  The second one is new to me, though.

Yes, the Call of Cthulhu was made by the same people (The H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society) that are making The Whisperer in Darkness. The Whisperer in Darkness will be their first talkie.

As for Die Farbe.... It is based upon Lovecraft's the Colour Out of Space. That is all that I know

I realize this is a bit of threadomancy but I just noticed that HPLHS is now distributing the Die Farbe DVD (trailer above or at the following link).

Along with the imminent (well, by the end of the year, with luck) release of their own The Whisperer in Darkness, it looks like I've got another excuse to spend money! Like I need any!

[The Gray Ghost]

There is a wonderful 90s movie by HBO called Cast a Deadly Spell. It has a cool mix of 1940s hardnosed detective story with a dab of tongue-in-cheek Lovercraftian mythos. Definately recommended if you have not had a chance to catch it.

It had Fred Ward in it
That was a great movie, first time I encountered HPL and I used that death by a thousand papercuts spell in My Shadowrun games.
