I re-did some parts of the vikings, changing proportions and enlarging heads and hands - that called for a new batch of prints to be painted!

What i'm gonna do with the old painted models... we'll see. But i'm MUCH happier now!

Hah, thanks! :) I do add a bit of de-noise to my photos, but they do look cute. :)

10mm?  Astounding.

I kinda feel bad for abandoning 6mm for historical stuff, but i feel that without huge tanks and robots 10mm humans show better the potential.
And i can play against Warmaster armies too! :)

Basing time! :) I received today a parcel from https://www.mkzgames.es/ and i got to try some stuff.
The bases come with a 3mm hole for magnets, which I fit in and covered the top with greenstuff:

And after SEVERAL experiments with colours... here we are!

That's all for now! Happy with my current result, I'll finally move back to the scifi project for a bit! :D

Cheers

Good looking unit. Will be interested to see more of these (like I need another 10mm army)!

Are the magnets in the bases for storage?

More will follow, for sure! :)
I got the MDF bases with magnet holes because they costed the same of without (yep, that simple), and i've put 1mm thick magnets. They provide a fairly weak attraction, which is good for transport as long as i don't flip the box upside down.
At the end of the day the models will all be in good sight in a glass cabinet most of the time anyways! =)

Makes sense - I use magnetic sheet for similar purposes - for most travel it works fine. the figures are light and the base is big.

I have wondered about making a game to play on the fridge with my magnetically based figures!

Indeed they are! The big limit of 3D printing so far (and it's being solved with higher resolutions already) are wide surfaces, both for the print lines and for the soft details that overcuring causes.
With small models you don't have those, and even an old printer like mine can shine!

With an INCREDIBLY SUCCESSFUL campaign of Full Spectrum Dominance I got heavily side tracked from this project.

However, last monday I felt I wanted a new challenge, and I started putting down the shapes of a Mammoth:

which shortly after became this...

Then after some hours of Blender Pain (tm) this...

...and after tonight's print, I now have a Mammoth!
Of course, i'm going to pose the model properly before considering it done, but as a first test it's pretty good I'd say!!

..and that's it for now! Updates soon-ish, as always!

They are far too small for my old worn out eyes but very cool nevertheless.  ;D
