Tactica for a British visitor

I was thinking of going to this show next year.

Do they have participation games suitable for an English speaker?

Yes, you should have a great time. I went a few years back and it was a terrific show. Will be going back again, not sure whether next year or the one after.

I am hoping to be able to attend this year.

While I have not attended previously, as an American living in Germany (and with pretty poor German language skills to be honest) I have found the gaming community to be pretty English language friendly so far.

For years we have some English guys visiting Tactica, speaking no German word except "Weißbier", and they are always very happy.

I don't think language is the problem but my experience of Tactica is that it can be difficult to get a game in (maybe get there early).

There are a few of us 'Island Monkeys' here in Hamburg so if you need any help let me know.

Inselaffe. Gosh, you learn something new everyday.

I went to Tactica this year, language isn't a problem. I think trying to hook up through LAF or the like to book a game spot would be a good idea though.

Inselaffe. I think I was a proper Affe in the Schlachterbörse the night before. Other german customers were looking over at our table like:
