My friend and I have been playing minihammer for a number of years using Warmaster (cut up individually) and pendragon (various others) individually based and I really love it. 3D printing has only made this easier and given more range. I love the fact that at this scale cavalry can manoeuvre and flank even on a small table.

When I was still living in Berlin, a colleague from work and I did the same. Minihammer is the way to go!

Thanks all! Yes, the scale is economical and for once I might have proper cavalry manoeuvres.

Great figures.

I assume if you like Warhammer as a ruleset then going with Minihammer makes sense - but as big as a 10mm advocate that I am - I’m not sure that I’d really want to play with single based 10mm units.

I’d have a look at either Warmaster as it’s designed with 10mm figures in mined, or any of the unit based games such as KoW and work out an appropriate scaling mechanism for 28mm down to 10mm. We used to play KoW with pretty much full sized 28mm unit bases, packed with 10mm figures (IIRC it was 2 Warmaster units to make a KoW unit). But you could down size the units by whatever movement scale factor you are using (eg inches to cm) and use smaller units.

Oh dear, no. I've been a fan of Warmaster since it was released, it's the exact opposite of what I'm after for the project. If anything, I'd scale it down again and finish my 2mm Warmaster project using Irregular miniatures.

Kings of War (and Mantic in general) I'm not into at all despite my name in the 2nd edition book as a backer and owning a few armies of their models.

These figures themselves will be used in solo tests of Spears of Valour, Fights of Fantasy and maybe a few other indie or lesser known games. Surely something from Nordic Weasel and occasionally I read the 2nd edition battlesystem rules and want to try them!

Minihammer/Warhammer connection and individual basing is more me wanting to feel I've finished a Warhammer style army. I have small forces for every WHFB army, but nothing finished. Completing some units in 10mm scratches that itch.

Dubbya - Love those little hoppers - your robe choice for the gobbo’s work really well.

Fred - once you have movement trays it all becomes pretty easy (originally we had them on 10x10mm magnets with metal trays but we’ve migrated to mdf bases and trays - bases from Warbases, trays by my talented friend).

Inspiring work Dubbya - just made me spend an evening staring at my 10mm mountain……..

Looks quite good to me, especially if it was done quickly. A large unit or mob in that style would be great on the tabletop.

Thanks! Hopefully more soon.

First, some more 10mm. Chaos dwarfs, I wanted to try some very bright, 90s red!
