The Adventures of Captain Darling Continue…
« on: December 18, 2022, 12:10:05 AM »
Well after quite a break Captain Darling has returned…rumours of a long Safari into Darkest Africa or an Expedition along the length of the Amazon…we may never know! His current adventure find him heading off planet and fighting rampant Continental types!

Below Captains Darling and Scott at the S.O.E. Moon Expedition Research Facility Salisbury Plains 1888, top English Space Scientist Professor Dingleberry can be seen with them. The Interplanetary Travel Pod by which they stand is ready to to loaded into the JVMG MkII Moon Cannon!

This is all rather exciting.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

You HAVE been missed, sirrah!

I will voice my concern about that travel pod; I fear it shall go 'bang.'

Silly of me to doubt the boffins, I suppose.

Still, bated breath...

Doug

Lovely! I hope, Sir, you have calculated the amount of blackpowder correctly? We would not want that travel pot to overshoot it’s destination?!

I like it.

Out of interest, what happened to the Mk1 cannon?

Good Evening Gentlemen!

Thanking you for your epistles, they are appreciated!

Currently I am recording the events of the Battle of Salisbury Plain and they’ll soon adorn Captain Darling’s Blog!

To address a few points;

Never fear Doug the Travel Pod is sound and its builders Holland & Wolf guarantee it’s double skin hull and air tight compartments ensure it is indestructible (😲)

DivisMal the Royal Artillery have successfully carried out test shots so we’re set to go where no Englishman has gone before (😉)

…and Andy the JVMC Mk I can be found still at Salisbury Plain, bits of it are scattered everywhere from when it exploded during a test shot…

Cheers!
