So how do you paint Windows on buildings?

I have been assembling and painting brick buildins for some VSF and Pulp action games. The brick work was a matter of minutes, but the windows... inset panes of glass. Im using an Off white thinned down with water to wash around the window pane and left to dry with the entire wall "flat" so it doesnt run down the front of the wall.
