...are available from DriveThruComics:

Don't know what the music is like, but it might help those who use it for "mood" in horror games and the comics' artwork looks pretty good on the preview pages.

I have a couple of the comics.  Let's just say they're not quite the same quality as 'Girl Genius'! They're cheap enough, though, and may give people some ideas for dioramas or base clutter.

The Nox Arcana music is pretty good.  Kinda creepy.  Very much in the same vein as Midnight Syndicate.

Sorry, didn't check the music link.  I really like Nox Arcana and Midnight Syndicate! They do some excellent mood music for virtually anything Horror/D&D/Pirate/Gothic-themed.  You can also try Virgil's stuff...

I heartily recommend these fellas.

In the past when I've had to explain the difference between Lovecraftian Horror and Gothic, I'll play a piece from Bram Stokers Dracula; then a piece from Aklo's Beyond Madness CD.   >:D

Hummm....  Aklo?  ???  Never heard of them.  I will have to check them out.

And yea. Virgil's stuff is good (overall...  some hits and some misses) too....

Hum, some nice bits there, but also some fairly cheap midi synth work...

As a collector of many sorts of music, I can share plenty of moody ambient recommendations. If you're new to the genre, you should get Rich & Lustmord's Stalker. It's a landmark album, naturally inspired by the book and the film. Beautiful and mildly disturbing at the same time. Equally good for background music and close listening.

Unsurprisingly, HPL references are common in the genre. For example, you can try this one. It's seriously intense stuff. Their second CD was fine too.

Then a few recent picks I've enjoyed. Various themes, but appropriate for other contexts too because they're all instrumental and quite abstract:

Atrium Carceri - Souyuan
Herbst9 - The Gods Are Small Birds
Nordvargr - Interstellar
Wicked Messenger - Vision Rites and Techniques of Ecstasy

I can provide more if anyone cares. Or just follow the "also recommended", artist and record label links.
