Christopher Lee Monologue
« on: December 28, 2022, 06:56:10 PM »
I have a question not directly related to gaming as such:

I used to have a tape recording of Christopher Lee building up some eerie atmosphere in a kind of monologue, it seems like an introduction to a show or something similar.

Along the way he asks 'you did lock the doors, hatch the windows, didn't you?' *clattering sound* 'Yes, you are safe, aren't you?'

The monologue ends with 'your home, your comfortable home becomes a cold damp crypt within the Hammer House of Horror!'

Anyone knows where it's from, and where I can find it, please?
Ask at the LAF, and answer shall thy be given!

This may be too obvious to be correct, but maybe it's the "Hammer House of Horror" series from 1980?

Nope, not that (I’m in the middle of watching these on BritBox). No idea what it actually is though…

It obviously has something to do with the Hammer studios, but I cannot remember how it was presented in the radio show I recorded it from - and all my cassette tapes have been scrapped by now.

I've tried typing in the last passage in a search, but to no avail.

There must be Lee fan-groups on FB; likewise Hammerers. Why not post your inquiry there?
The laws of probability do not apply to my dice in wargames or to my finesses in bridge.

Might be an idea.
