Disney's Zorro on DVD!
« on: 23 October 2009, 02:34:12 PM »
It looks that Disney will finally release the Guy Williams' Zorro out on DVD for the mass public!
It was previously released on DVD by the Disney Movie Club, and you had to be a member to get the 'Club Only' shows (well, I joined just to get the Zorros...).

The new releases will be in the original black and white :) . The DVD club only had the colorized version  :?...

Oddly enough, they have not released Season 3, either from the DVD Club or through the tin boxes...

Great news- at least it is if they are to be released in the UK  :?

I don't believe there ever was a 3rd season for Disney's Zorro. There were some hour long specials shown if that is what you are referring to. It looks like those have been added as a bonus feature for the new black & white releases. They were not in the colorized sets.

The colorized versions are pretty easy to come by on ebay or Amazon stores. The new release is also listed at Amazon.com for pre-order.

If you check out the link to the new sets.. www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Zorro-Seasons-1-and-2/12698
..you will see that those four, hour long episodes listed by IMDB as the 3rd season are the ones included in the bonus features.  So it appears that the new sets will indeed be a complete collection of Disney's Zorro.

Great news!  Even if I bought the chinese copyright violating  :o version - ouch in more ways than one...  :'(

I own the Disney first season via EBay now.  :-*

Pretty much the essence of the series was in the initial story line about the evil commandante though for me.   lol

Gracias,

Glenn
