Some 28mm Continental Infantry
« on: 09 March 2023, 11:46:49 PM »
I've been posting some of my 28mm AWI units on the blog, including these Continental infantry units.  Some of these were painted 20 years ago and some were painted late last year:

Rebels, indeed.  More like brave fellows fighting for their rightful freedoms against a tyrannical despot.  Or something like that.... 8)

In any event, they are indeed "very smart units"...

Hmm, going bankrupt and then suffering a bloody revolution... that's some win.  ;)

I believe it was Louis XI who first remarked ""We're gonna win so much, you may even get tired of winning. And you'll say, 'Please, please. It's too much winning..."  ;)

Nice work.

And with ten years to go until you retire that gives you ten years to train Mrs. Fawr to tolerate, at least, you painting at home.  lol

If I survive that long...

Anyway, thanks all.  The troops are going to be on the table on Saturday.  We're doing a refight of Cornwallis' attack on the Brandywine (again, but it's been 10 years since the last time). :)

Sounds like someone seriously overindulged in the Brandywine if it's been ten years.  Complimentary Metaxas and the diabolical Retsina on a truly epic long haul flight home from Greece produced a similar period of abstinence with me.

My advice, as someone of advancing years, is the chota peg, a fulsome measure of soda water. Brandy or whisky to taste. Drink in moderation.  ;)

Superb brushwork. Today or 20 years ago, they fantastic either way.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Yeah, we did rather... Played twice at club, once in a mate's shed, twice with my cadets and one in a mega-game at the National Army Museum...

And I have drunk in Moderation... The proof is at the bottom of this blog-post: http://www.jemimafawr.co.uk/2019/11/21/my-2019-2020-demo-game-the-cassinga-raid-angola-1978-part-4-the-game/
