I've got some more freshly-painted 15mm SYW units on the blog.  First the Blau-Würzburg Regiment and Saxon Carbiniersgarde.  I've also been re-flagging some previously-painted units with better flags:

Secondly, some Austrian artillery and generals:

Excellent jobs there! Very well done!
The Karabiniergarde must be OG.
Blau-Würzburg and the artillery must be Eureka.
Lovely!!!

Look into my eyes. Into my eyes, not around the eyes, into my eyes.

You have lots of lace and tricorns in your immediate future.

To satisfy my curiosity, just how many infantry battalions and cavalry regiments for all sides do you have for the Seven Years War?  However large or small your collection, it is superb.

I was wondering that myself a couple of years ago, so started a spreadsheet...  lol

Units are generally 12 or 16 figures.  In most cases they're a battalion or regiment, but some nations liked HUGE cavalry regiments, so the unit might be a half-regiment, while others liked tiny regiments, so the unit might represent a brigade.

Prussians: 43 Inf, 11 Gren, 9 CR, 5 DR, 12 HR, 6 LI & 14 Guns
Austrians: 40 Inf, 7 Gren, 12 CR, 11 DR, 11 HR, 16 LI & 20 Guns
Swedes: 10 Inf, 3 CR & 4 Guns
Reichsarmee*: 32 Inf, 6 Gren, 3 CR, 3 DR & 8 Guns
Saxony: 1 CR & 3 DR
Bavaria: 10 Inf & 1 Gun
Wurttemberg: 10 Inf, 3 Gren & 1 Gun
Great Britain: 6 Inf, 1 Gren, 2 CR, 2 DR & 5 Guns
France: 20 Inf, 4 CR, 1 DR, 1 HR & 6 Guns
Hanover: 8 Inf, 1 Gren, 1 CR, 1 DR & 4 Guns
Hessen-Kassel: 1 Inf
Schaumburg-Lippe: 1 Inf & 3 Guns

* NB The Reichsarmee total also includes various Imperial auxiliary regiments such as the two Wurzburg regiments, Mainz-Lamberg, etc.  Three of the Bavarian battalions also do double-duty with the Reichsarmee, as does the Bavarian and Wurttemberg artillery.

So that's 233 battalions and 85 cavalry 'regiments'.  God, that's a lot more than I realised...  :o

Total painted figures, including generals and bottle-washers: 3,217 Foot, 1,354 Horse & 66 Guns.

Thanks for that quite detailed reply - though it seems you are short on Saxon infantry  :o.

That is truly amazing to have such a large collection at such a high quality - and remarkable to also have your toes dipped (perhaps up to your ankles - or knees even) in other periods and scales.

I think I have to reserve a whole weekend to really explore your website in much greater depth.  Only by doing so can I judge from afar just how crazed you are with this hobby madness thing.  Heck, you might actually be more so than me!  Certainly more talented!   lol
