Lead candy never tasted so sweet. I think these are fantastic, though what I will do with them I have no idea.


CPE Bach. The instrument comes in 6 pieces, the top, 4 legs and base. The figure is seperate to the chair.

They were released unofficially this month sometime. Official release unknown, I'm guessing not too far away, they are too good to sit on for long.

If you ask Uncle Nic nicely enough you can order them from Eureka. There is a PDF available.

They are indeed wonderful and have been in the pipeline for a couple of years.

The Carl Philip Emmanuel Bach is particuarly fine. I want a dozen Voltaires just to have a Enlightenment Brigade.

I just love Eureka for their idiosyncratic releases! These are the type of miniatures you don't fit into a scenario, you build it around them.

Anyone interested in that era should check it out, especially the nation of Wittenberg where the guy not only fights battles but constructs the palaces in which the state's princes and generals plan their campaigns. Fully furnished wuith art work on hte walls and carpets on the marble floors. It's a complete world!

I have no doubt whatsoever these will soon be appearing (painted) on the Emperor v. Elector site which is devoted to 18c "imagi-nations".

BTW the string quartet is useful for many periods including Pulp  (I am thinking a plot starting in the theter) or even modern era.
Imagine some stories starting in the opera, or in a Ball ...

Just crying out for a game of Don't Shoot the Claviachordist'. Only problem is that to photograph these in proper Barry Lyndon style will require a hugepurchase of candles and I dunno whether NASA will lend me their low light camera lenses.

I bought these lovely 18th century personalities from Eureka this week.
I happened to be in the shop just as they came out. They are sweet.

Sculpted beautifully and casted nicely as well (as always).

Do yourself a favour and get a set, you won't be disappointed.
