Has anyone had a chance to buy and look over the scenario book mentioned in this thread title?  Supposedly has 32 scenarios for the Indian Mutiny.  Less interested in the rules themselves but willing to listen to arguments for or against.  My understanding is the scenarios can be used for other rule sets.

Thanks!

Had a quick leaf through the earlier volume (1798-1846) on the Caliver stand at Salute today. It was the only one I saw. Very impressed with the range of scenarios offered, including some very obscure conflicts. But the sheer number of scenarios means the amount of space available for each is limited. Also I felt it relates a bit too closely to the companion ruleset. Troop qualities come straight out of "Mad Dogs", and I sometimes got the impression the oobs had been overly "adjusted" or balanced for game purposes. Could be wrong, and less of an issue for Mutiny actions anyway, but enough to make me keep my £28 in my pocket.

Thanks for the reply.  Guess I'll wait until I hear more favorable reviews before making a purchase.

  • Gotcha!
Got all three books (rules and scenario books) since Saturday and am quite impressed.
Also mostly interested in the Mutiny part of it and many of the scenarios would be equally playable with Sharp Practice or TMWWK.
The rules are very much like version 1 but a bit more streamlined and a much better layout.
Panic, Chaos and Disorder. My job here is done

Does anyone have any idea about the basing standards for Mad Dogs in India? Maybe I am missing something.
Thanks.
