Last of my infantry. I sort of ran out of stuff to paint waiting for Victrix to release their plastic sets. So I ended up painting some Aventine Early Byzantine Archers. They really need a few coats of AK Ultra Matt varnish. Plus some Footsore Goths/Early Saxons and some Warlord Vendel type Anglo-Saxons (plus some spare Romano-British heroes that look a bit Germanic). I did tried to do some simple hand painted shields. I found I couldn't get the damaged look right. Getting very fine slashes from weapons just didn't work. Always too thick. I've bought LMBS transfers to replace these but yet to fit them.

Looking great!

I’ll be running a WAB event oop North covering this period, next year, at some point, you should bring them along.

We’ve got other events in the mean time, but covering other periods.
I like to keep my events quite historically focused, or at least contemporary.

Playing WAB V2 and loving it.
