Sorry if this is a dumb question but why would a blog spot addition at the bottom only appear on some posts and not others

Hi, I assume you mean the link in your signature?

For performance reasons, any user's signature is only displayed once on each thread page, i.e. the first time they post a reply to a topic (or in the initial post if they are the thread opener). Repeating signatures would put additional strain on the servers, especially for those signatures which include images.

log in
click on Profile in the top menu bar
click on Forum profile
scroll to the bottom of the page
Below Signature you see:
Website title
&
Website URL

If you enter these (enter the title, e.g. Greatblog,  in the first and thecomplete url of your blog e.g. https://greatblog.blogspot.com/ in the second) and save, the blue orb will appear under your avatar in posts.
