Hmm.  Good thing I decided to actually track this this year.  Here's my gaming progress through 30 June this year:

Purchases
About 10 diecast vehicles for my 28mm collections.
4 boxes of plastic multi-part 28mm figures.
About 60 metal 28mm figures.
7 28mm MDF building kits.
4 new sets of rules.
A few sets of pre-painted scatter terrain from various makers.
a dozen or so pre-painted D&D figures.

Painting
90 28mm figures
3 28mm vehicles.
4 28mm MDF buildings and a 28mm MDF bridge.

Gaming
Played in and/or GM'd 20 wargames
Played in or GM'd 10 RPGs

Writing
Nothing commercial.  I did write 7 scenarios for games I played in and/or ran.

Other stuff
I think that covers it...

Bought way too much, painted way too little, and the regular schedule of a game a week has been severy disrupted for months already.

When looking at the statistics, I've not been doing so great this year. But the little time I do find to dedicate to the hobby is well spent and enjoyable, so I'm actually content.

What are the facts?

I've bought about 600 miniatures this year. 417 of these were in a single buy of a huge lot of Warzone. I will probably pass on most of them to new owners eventually, but it was too good an opportunity to pass up. The same went for a rather big lot of Battlemaster and Hero Quest miniatures I came across and grabbed; another 113 plus bits . Then there are some 2nd hand Imperial Guard minis I've been using in a conversion project and some other little odds and ends.

So yeah; a pretty big amount, and the only ones I've been working on are the IG (and that's a bit of a backburner project right now ::) ). I normally do not purchase even near half of this amount, but sometimes you just need to go with the flow, right?

I've painted a grand total of 27 miniatures since January 1st. So I'm well behind if I want to make my usual goal of 100 28mm equivalent miniatures a year. As an aside; I've only ever made this goal once, in 2020. The years before and after, I usually ended up somewhere in the high seventies, low eighties.

As far as terrain is concerned; I've not produced anything this year. But I have 3 weeks of vacation coming up, and I hope to be able to finish a new tabletop as well as possibly some more terrain as well. We'll see how this pans out though.

The last thing I'm going to do at this point (with this track record) is make promises I won't be able to keep. I'll be kicking myself for not making the bar I set for myself and I will go back to work all frustrated and disappointed if I didn't get done what I wanted to get done.

So I'm just going to enjoy the time off I have, spend it on the hobby as much as possible, and be relaxed and refreshed when I go back to the salt mines, statistics be damned... :)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Jack- I will keep an eye on your blog!

I am jealous of the SR 2ed. campaign going!

Ha! It's 30years in the making! I've been intimidated by the rules for decades, but _love_ the setting. I've had my 2nd ed hardback for years and I'm not getting any younger...I figure it's time to sort this out and at least play _one_ adventure. We're starting with Dreamchipper.

It's September, so really a 3rd Quarter review, but hear goes.

Brought too much, but got rid of even more. Painted over 250 "figures" (anything on one base - so 4 10mm infantry, 1 28mm figure, etc.). Not played much as don't really have the group anymore - occasional boardgame with friends, attended a "Lard Day" so got to play 2 games there.

Main plan for this year was to reduce the lead/plastic mountain without adding to it in response. Generally successful, managed to move on over 1000 figures (mostly unpainted/unbuilt), and have reviewed what I actually need.

Have chosen to restructure my gaming, using 10mm over 28mm, and as such now have less than 250 28mm models to my name, but 5 10mm starter armies awaiting attention, along with a few "extra" little projects.

Generally happy with progress, but will need to look at plans for next year soon.
