40k-pable Battle Tank from Frontline-Tabletop
« on: November 05, 2009, 07:54:23 PM »
I found this beauty during prowling the web:

It's meant as heavy support for Space Marines. Its special feature: the weapons and turrets are fixed with integrated Neodym magnets, allowing quick interchange between weapon configuration or the attachment of different side sponsons.
I've ordered a kit at the price of 89,-EUR and can take pictures of the unassembled model as soon as i got it and if it is of interest.
You can get more information or place an order by writing to this adress:

Too many turrets, sponsons and what-nots for me, but if it were stripped down to the basics, it would be a splendid model.

The design of the vehicle itself is very attractive, but I can see the attraction of all the weapon overkillfor 40K type games  :)

As said above, a lot of the attached elements like side sponsons and the missile launchers are magnetic and can be removed.

Strip it down and you'll have this:

more to your liking?  ;)

Those are some pretty cool guns the space marines are carrying.  What are they from?

*cough cough* Been there, criticized that. *cough*

Lovely model, but a tad bit overpriced as compared to Old Crow & Co.

If it was cheaper you could have a few of those as GDI tanks from Command and Conquer  ;D

This is made by a german guy I know through the WIP forum, (Frontline). He has done some very nice models so worth a look:

In this shop you can buy the single bitz, he has a large bitz-section in his shop.

Enjoy.

The tank looks nice except for the sponsons, the price is a bit high though.

Sorry to contradict you, Commander, but the guys there will focus on their own stuff in the future (I've asked them). So I think when their storage of bitz is empty, they'll no longer be able to supply you with Frontline stuff. You can of course try the mail adress I mentioned in the first post.

@ wellender:
I can't help you here, as I got the pics from the designer of the model. If I've the chance to ask him, I'll let you know, as I'm interested myself.

@ Westfalia Chris
I apologize for not properly researching the topics posted before I joined the LAF  ;)

@ Gluteus Maximus
A Forgeworld Malcador is around 77,- EUR, so this here is more expensive. You get the magnetized Hardpoints, though. Nevertheless, it's still a pretty penny. I'll find out if it was worth it...

@Pil
The sponsons are extra, so the basic kit comes without it. See pic above ;)

Maybe the newer game. I really have found that I've not become fond of anything C&C-wise beyond Tiberian Sun, and RA2 for the Red Alert series.

Not my cup of tea, personally.

No issue here, I was going on information I received from Micheal quite a while back.

Did he finish the dropship by the way?

Yes, I thought so. I've been asking about the additional parts for this tank and I was told that they (GBW) want to focus on their own line. ThanKs for the heads-up anyway  :)
I asked Michael about the dropship, too. I received the information that it's not into serial production yet, as FL-T is busy with their small-scale (BFG, Babylon5 like) spaceship range. So we've to wait for the dropship a little longer...

The kit arrived two days ago and I intended to show you some pics. But I found a site where they're much better presented:
http://www.brueckenkopf-online.com/?p=1684
Unfortunately, the review is written in german. I can only agree to what's said there and although it's not the cheapest, I intend to build a squad of them...

The Guns of the Marines in the Pictures are my own creation - I wanted some SAW Guns for my Army. They are 5 Part Resin Kits and come complete with the scope, red dot, drum magazine and open magazine just as shown in the pictures.

If anybody is interrested in this kit just write me

mk@28flt.de

of course you can contact me if you wish to purchase other kits (tanks, gun turrets, acessoires) or If you want to get our 2009 catalogue (pdf)

Greetz to all
