I recently completed some chariots and horse archers for a mythic Trojan Wars project. These are Lucid Eye 28mm minis, though I converted quite a few of the horse archers using Gripping Beast and Foundry models as well. Horses were painted used the old school oil paint wipe off technique, with the Amazons themselves undercoated white and painted with GW Contrasts and acrylics.

Pics were photographed in front of a miniature backdrop by Jonny Hodgson Art.

Very effective workaround for painting horses. Which none of us like doing I suspect. Look great.

I have most of Lucid Eye's sea people, but so far was not really interested in the Amazons.

These pictures show me I need to reconsider that point of view

Of course. Black undercoat, coat of Vallejo Model Colour Brass, brown ink wash, highlight of VMC Gold.

Excellent painting

The army has really come together and looks great.

Amazons must have an advantage as an opposing general and his men will struggle to focus when up against their topless tactics

Presumably you have something written in to your Midgard rules to allow for this?
