Crossfire Resurrection - little game by little game
« on: July 30, 2023, 07:22:32 PM »
My 20mm East Front 20mm project, dead since 2014, re-animated recently. I won't shoot it in the head. details https://corlearshookfencibles.blogspot.com/2023/07/crossfire-resurrection-little-game-by.html
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

We racked up three more games and introduced our newest recruit to the joys of automatic weapons and off-table artillery.

Since Sunday determined that the Fencibles want to play more Crossfire, I painted up some Esci/Italeri Soviet infantry in summer uniforms. Won't win any painting contest, but will get on the table after I varnish and base them.

One of the Fencibles asked if they were throwing grenades or the chorus line in WWII, the Musical. I didn't post the SMG guys with the guns over their heads. They do indeed look like a chorus. Perhaps when mixed with other poses on bases...

Caught me. Yes, it's a musical headed for Broadway after opening in Scranton. We couldn't get Andrew Lloyd Weber but the cast does ascend to the heavens on a giant garbage can lid at the end. It's not similar to the ending of Cats. None of them were armed with rifles, grenades or submachine guns.

When not onstage the lads will feature in Crossfire games on my table.

Looking great, very serviceable. Behold the mighty Russian SMG squad as the valiantly cartwheel off to death and glory!
