Spanish Squadron in 1:700
« on: 26 August 2023, 09:28:03 AM »
This month I finished off a fourteen month project to build several French, British and Spanish age-of-sail squadrons for two friends, that culminated in this Spanish squadron, constructed from the Warlord Spanish Fleet box.

In this final post in the series I take a look at a snapshot of the history behind these models and conclude with a preview of the next batch of work and posts to feature on the blog.

The detailing on the ships is great, but a question about the bases... are those just slats in the bottom to keep the ships from shifting laterally?  Do you have pegs or something else to stop ones in the same row from sliding into each other?
If my wife asks, I only spent half as much as I wanted to...

Thank you chaps, much appreciated.

Kelly - Yes just slats, the bases can move but are designed to keep the models apart here in the trays and on the table, so in three years of using this method to transport the models in 19 ltr RUBs there have been no problems what so ever.
