Zurg's Mothership
« on: September 18, 2023, 08:29:53 AM »
Those of you who like converting toys to sci-fi scenery, might want to take a look at this bargain? I say bargain, because currently, it is £7.13p on Amazon UK! Next day delivery, for those on Prime.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09P9W9TKH?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Mine will become some sort of criminal syndicate scout ship for Star Wars, but there are a lot of possibilities, including making it a terrain piece, as a crashed ship. It even includes some sort of escape pod.

I think it has lights and sound too, not tried mine yet, it only came yesterday!

That's a sweet deal!

I bought myself a whole fleet of the smaller ships and vehicles from the Lightyear range last year and they haven't disappointed me in the least. In fact; they're just great and approximately the right scale as well! clickyclick

I always considered the big alien ship to be too unwieldy for the tabletop (says the man who has a 1/48 Millennium Falcon stored for play ::) ), and at the then going prices, not worth it. But at this price point,  it's almost criminal not to get one, isn't it? :D

Very interested to see where you will be taking yours!

I love what you did with the Armadillo. Unfortunately, it's £42 on Amazon at the moment!

Edit: Just found it here for £15.

Mad Lord - check this Amazon UK link, where it's £7.13 link

24" long is a great for a ship, but my inner watchman is telling me that I have enough plastic spaceships in the loft and don't need any more!

edited to fix spelling mistakes (why do I even bother previewing before posting ::))

Couldn't find it on Amazon.nl, followed the link Zemjw provided and now I've got a Zurg ship en route form the UK for a grand total of €11,53 including P&P.

Again; for that amount I feel I'd be deceiving myself should I not get it. Or so I tell myself...

Damn it; it seems you're made out of sterner stuff than I, Zemjw lol

The Zurg ship looks quite impressive. Could we get a shot with a 28mm mini?

I picked up a few Armadillo one of the Zurg fighters (both really cool spacecraft but not too large) Several packs of drop pods, a couple of the Cargo trucks and one pack of the smaller jeep-like things.    They're quite well scaled for 28mm and they were darn cheap.

Looks like the Zurg ship is 10 bucks shipped here in the states.  Dang that's tempting!

I, too, was tempted enough by the low price to get one of the Zurg's Mothership toys.  Still don't know quite what to do with it, probably use it as a centerpiece for a game.

If any of you do get one, I recommend putting the batteries in it at least once to test out the engine lights and sounds it makes!

I'd never try and dissuade anyone from a potential centerpiece spaceship, especially once with light and sound.   If I buy another though it'd have to be better than this last one:

Just bought one.
For Americans willing to spend 10 bucks on one, here's the link.
Disney and Pixar Lightyear Vehicle Toy, 20-in Zurg Mothership with Lights & Sounds, Zyclops Figure in Deployable Pod https://a.co/d/fdRKh0p
Choose  "easy to open packaging".
I suspect we're buying factory over production.

More like Disney procurement over-ordering.

Looking for the pack of two wheeled vehicles (have a truck already) but not sure what to do with this.
