Thanks.

The body is from the Stargrave Scavengers set, the arms are from the Wizard and Soldier sets.

The head is from the Wargames Atllantic's Death Fields Weapons upgrade sprue.

So having ordered some Great War Miniatures figures, it was time to build and paint some.
I have started with one Capitan and eight figures (all in gas masks and including a Lewis Gun and assistant).

All are assembled, and in different states of painting.

This one is awaiting washing with Citadel Agrax Earthshade and Citadel Camoshade.
He is the Lewis Gun assistant (slightly re-posed).

The figure was undercoated with Citadel Chaos Black spray.
It was then base painted with Army Painter Leather brown spray.
I then gave it another coat of Army Painter Leather brown by brush to try to tone down the shine.
The helmet and water bottle are Citadel Death Korp Drab.
The puttees, mask and gloves are Citadel Steel Legion Drab.
Webbing, packs, Lewis gun ammo packs are Citadel Snot Womble Green, highlighted with Citadel Snotling Green Layer.
Hose and respirator pack are Citadel Rakarth Flesh.
Metalwork is Vallejo Black Grey.
Woodwork is Citadel Catachan Flesh.
The Leather brown was tidied up and then highlighted with a mix of Leather brown and Army Painter Stone Golem.

The mask lenses were painted Humbrol matt white, then Citadel Aethermatic Blue was applied.

It still needs to be washed with Citadel Agrax Earthshade and Citadel Camoshade.

He looks gritty -- I like it. The mask lenses look rad, I may steal that option. Still not quite sure what to do with mine. Yours have a slightly unsettling effect, which I appreciate for the theme of the game.

Second figure, again from the British Command and Support in Gasmasks.

Similar paint job, but the "webbing", packs and holster are Citadel Mournfang Brown to indicate an officer and being leather.

Here he is with the unpainted witch.

She was originally built as a Shadow and Bone style Squaller using components from the Frostgrave Soldiers 2 and Wizards 2 sprues, hence the windswept hair.

The rest of the first unit are in various states of completion, and the corresponding Germans are being based.

I have also based up my first attempt at a Cunning Man, using a Crooked Dice hero who has a remarkable resemblance to a war weary John Hurt.

The Crooked Dice/Sarissa wrecked boat is slowly coming together, getting the planks in place is a bit difficult.

Yes, he is unsettling - partly it is where I have slightly reposed the figure so he is gazing up at something which is reflected in the lenses - something either beautiful or deadly but equally fascinating.

One of the command options for British forces in A War Transformed is the Cunning Man.
Now Who could I use as a Cunning Man?
Crooked Dice has a war weary character in the Heroes 9 pack.

Here is the Cunning Man with two Great War Miniatures figures.

Re: UVS: A War Transformed - LK-II 26/11/2023

The Leichter Kampfwagen II (LK-II) was a German light tank developed towards the end of World War 1. Two prototypes were built by June 1918, but no more were completed  before the war ended. The design lived on, illegally exported to Sweden as the M/21-29, one remained in Swedish service until 1938.

There were two weapon options, one armed with an MG08/15, the other with a 57mm Maxim-Nordenfelt gun.

The Cunning Man attempts to disable the tank.
Those track links look vulnerable.

The model is from Empress.

Though they did not make an impression on WW1 in our timeline, I propose that line production started earlier in AWT, as a reaction to the FT and the terrain in Doggerland.

Rules wise, they are just a reskinned FT, their weapon options are close enough.
My only thoughts are definitely have to get agreement with your opponent before using and possibly they come out of your Elite budget rather than line.
