Shaggy dark age skirmishers

I'm looking for suggestions for really wild and eag tag looking early dark age skirmishers, javelin mostly, to represent Irish and British light troops. Lots of nice figures out there but they are all nice and neat. I'd like wild hair and rags 😄

Yup.  Footsore Early Saxons and Goths would fit the bill, although their Irish also look rag tag.
Otherwise the odd Gripping Beast lines might have something.  Early Saxons are strangely more civilised looking than their German Tribes from 2 centuries later.  Their Irish skirmishers are slightly shaggy, but one looks like he has a perm!
