Good day everybody,
Yesterday I was solo-playing a game of Osprey's Rebels and Patriots and a situation arose which I'm not sure I handled correctly:
1.- There were three units of line infantry all within 12'' of each other. The Officer was attached to the middle unit. This unit was attacked and took casualties, among them the Officer. The rules state a moral test must be taken when a unit takes casualties, and when an Officer is taken out of play. So I did one morale test for the casualties taken, and another immediately after that for the Officer's death.
2.- I also tested the other two units that were within 12'' the attacked unit (the Officer's command range). The rules state that units that witness a unit taken out of play must test morale. I applied this logic to an Officer's death. If a normal unit being wiped out merits a morale test why wouldn't the death of the Officer not do the same?
3.- The rules also state that once per game, when a player's loses 50% of its force they must test for morale. Does this mean all player units must test morale regardless of proximity with the unit that triggers the test?
I'd appreciate any and all feedback!
