The Basic Rules are a good introduction for skirmish gaming for new players but are not challenging for experienced players. The additional rules are good for experienced players but all of the "chrome" would have to be developed by the players. Good suggestions, ideas, etc., but not as detailed and prepacked with gaming aids and characters as Pulp Alley. Disappointingly there are no rules for aircraft and vehicles; and solo and collaborative rules were advertised but not included in the actual book. Osprey has fixed that by adding the Solo and "collaborative" rules on their website at https://ospreypublishing.com/media/2zub02zz/pulp-solo-and-coop-rules.pdf. If your willing to put a little extra work into it, I think it's a fun set of rules.
