"Tsingtao" at the Crisis 2009 show - a picture report
« on: 10 November 2009, 09:32:54 PM »
This year our club THS (Team for Historical Simulations) staged the VSF-game "Welcome to Tsingtao" at the splendid Crisis show in Antwerp. Some of you will have seen the original version of the game at the Tactica show in Hamburg already, but we've added some details and I concentrated my photos on those and on smaller scenes for variety. No need to comment too much, so just enjoy the pics ...  :D

The game was commanded by Obermaat Georg von Nurgleheimer and supervised by T&T afficionado Björn himself ...

Chinese workers everywhere around the harbour's busy waterfront ...

Prussia's secret weapons stalking along the small streets between warehouses and factories, ready to ambush the anglo-indian forces ...

But Albion will not stay behind! Watch HMS Innsmouth ploughing through deep ditches spitting heavy machine gun fire to her front, creating terror among Tsingtao's frontline forces ... ;D

That's it from me. We really enjoyed the show, the game and meeting all the old friends and new people attending the game. Last but not least - we managed to get the first price for "Best Participation Game Crisis 2009" again, and with four first prices at the Crisis show under our belt now, it will be very hard to make it to another one next year with something completely new. Definitly no VSF.  :(

Great looking game. Some wonderful terrain pieces like the crane and battleship, but also lots of interesting small details that make you want to keep going back to the pictures to see what you missed. I can't wait to see how you improve on the standard you set here for next year's game.

This is really an extraordinary game display. There are so many nice details. Although I was examine the board closely at Crisis I see new details on this pictures.

They even had a radio controlled tank.  ;D

It was nice talking to the THS guys and many thanks for your new rules ideas.

Congratulations for the trophy !

Cheers
Björn

p.s. finally a good picture from me  :)

Just looking through the pictures again :o :o
What make are the Chinese troops in turbans, blue uniform infantry and gun crew?
They look just like what I am after for my own VSF army.
