This is the most incredible set and adventure I have ever seen on this forum, how did you do it?  Fantastic! is just a beginning descriptor.

Thanks for all the nice comments again! Well, how did we do it? This kind of project isn't one you just plan ahead and then do. All the material involved was built and collected by several club members over the years, the one or other more specialising on VSF with his own collection. Some examples: the two larger residential houses were first built for our Peking 1900 Boxer Rebellion game some years back. Most of the vehicles and tanks came from two collections started more than 15 years ago. The industrial looking area was lovely executed by another club member for another VSF/Steampunk game some years ago. The large ship model was a pure chance find at a flea market, representing a Rhine steamship and was in bad shape (but so it was cheap ... :D). It was converted and partly re-built by another colleague, and the result was the starting point for this game bringing everything together on a nicely executed table.

Perhaps you have a look at the Club's own website on this game at http://www.ths-wargames.de/artikel/tsingtauengl.htm
Pictures of the event at Crisis will surely be included soon.

Yes, that's true, there are more pictures on our own website and on the Tactica site. And when you look around here http://www.ths-wargames.de/index2.htm under "Steampunk", you will see the one or other building you know from the Tsingtao game.

Looks stunning, but can you give any advice/information about the industrial buildings in the photo?

All the industrial buildings are from H0/OO-scale railroad sets, bought more or less ready-built and very cheaply at a second-hand shop. Some were left as they were, most were converted and painted/weathered as usual. The silhouette-buildings at the table-ends were just cut and glued as it fits from left-overs and the parts box.

Now you got me. I thought some of them were familiar to me, but how a Kibri building -lovely- stands alongside some 25/28 mm figures?
Me think to go for an excavation in my basement, to recover my old Kibri buildings!

throughout the years, HO railway buildings have undergone a great scale shift
the newer ones got to almost 1:60, so are very suitable for 28 mm

No, there wasn't any classic battle report, and I'm afraid I don't have the time to write one.

Many pictures can be found on our own site and the Tactica page; please see links above.

I just discovered that Aztek-TV has a very nice coverage of the Crisis show here:

http://www.redcathedral.be/aztek-tv/gallery/figs/2009/crisis/crisis.htm

Their gallery 1 contains some impressing professional shots of our game and most of the vehicles involved:

Enjoy!
