More like Grand Theft Cart.... :D

Lovely reports.  Any way someone will get a chance to steal the gold back from the Austrians?

The local tavern & ladies of dubious virtue have already parted the Austrians from the gold.

Some time ago I ran a few games that I called, 'French Leave'.
Three Musketeers et al have finally received their back-pay.
They have a nearby town (two bits of hardboard covered with dungeon floor-plans) which contained:-
half a dozen taverns, for drinking & gambling.
Various Ladies of the night (ranging in looks & price, from the beautiful 'Fanci-Peece' down to 'Dirty Gherty at No. 30'.
Local Watchmen (Police),
The neighbourhood thugs (muggers)

The players were divided up into rival regiments (e.g. Kings Musketeers & Cardinals Guard)
Each player was given a record sheet & the aim was to:-
Drink, gamble, wench & duel through-out the 48 hours of theit leave. Marks were deducted for any of the tasks they omitted.
Many laughs were had.

Given the overwhelming evidence of the Austrians' appalling map-reading skills to have ended up in Spain from central/eastern Europe, one wonders how they were going to fare getting the gold back to Austria.  Presumably they are still en route as we speak/write?
No plan survives first contact with the dice.

I bought the Austrians off e-bay with the idea of my usual repair, tart-up & rebase, but this
time for Silver Bayonet. Not even bought the rules yet, so just wanted to get them on the
table before they get moved onto e-bay.

If you mean 'steal' , feel free. Lots of fun to be had.
The gambling, for example, took this form:-
1) Player declared how much the wager was, e.g. 100 crowns.
2) House throw dice first
3) Player has option to, 'Cut' (withdraw but lose half their gamble) or try to exceed
    the House's score.

I should point out that the house (me  :D) used loaded dice.
I should also point out that one player beat my loaded dice score, not once, nor twice, but
THREE times!!! The third time AFTER he was told my dice were loaded!!!  :o :o :o

Steal, yes, that was what I meant - and maybe have someone in that piratey game steal a still, too.

Fun game from all reports - what it is supposed to be all about.  ;D
