I am not that into WWWII but as I was cruising the net for a miliput rolling pin I came across this rather clever use of a model helicopter:

I think that a then-available OH-6 kit was actually used as the basis for Mr. Yokoyama´s first MaK conversions, back in the early 80s.

Lovely article, and a very nice effort.
