another Master, another TARDIS...
« on: 14 November 2009, 12:18:05 PM »

first off a big thanks to Frother Onebigriver who very kindly acquired a dolls house clock for me...

which then meant I had to paint my decaying Master to do with it... not overly fond of the mini to be honest, the way the cloak looped around the hands always bothered me, so some g/s to hide that nonsense...

the clock was a great base though, I made it deeper with some plasticard to give it some more bulk when it stands alone, continued the fancy edging bits with mixed success and added a rear access panel so an obvious door exists in game (I know the Masters TARDIS opened at the front when it was a clock, but this looks nothing like that clock anyway so there...)

and of course, it had to be black with silver and bone trim... perhaps a little more Pratchet than Who, but I like it...

Agreed, it's always great to see your Who stuff  :D

Even though that version of the Master always strikes me as being from the "dodgy" era of who, It's a lovely model and your paintwork brings it to life. The eyes are spot-on!

The great thing about the Master (apart from the totally suave, sophisticated yet inevitably bumbling evil he brings to the game) is the chance to use whatever takes your fancy as a TARDIS. The clock is a marvellous find and it's got me thinking about a TARDIS of my own......  ;)

Cracking stuff.

I watched The Deadly Assassin a couple of months ago - a very scary Master. I wish Harlequin/BTD had done some generic Timelords!

This does remind me though, there's a doll's house shop around the corner from my house. I really should go and check it out at some stage.

Do you have the Simm master?

Very nice - ties in well with the 70s computer bank, although obviously they'd never be seen together! Just typed in Master's Tardis into Google Image and lo and behold yours is there on the second row of results - always nice!!

Any plans for the Doric column?

Ha talking of other Masters looks like the brilliant (although not as good as Delgado obviously) Mr Simm is back at Christmas -  new sculpt on the way with skull face and monk type habit perhaps?!
