What I done in 2023
« on: 24 December 2023, 10:59:56 PM »
This has been a difficult and disrupted year, with one thing and another, but I have managed to get a few things done.

In more or less chronological order:

JANUARY

A chess set I put together and printed, mostly on my Ender 3. There's a matching set in a dark sanguine crimson to go with these ones.

I updated my 1:100 scale model of a French Char 2C super-heavy tank

FEBRUARY

Printed and painted Bergman's model of the British Centaur IV AA tank

I modified a Reaper plastic paladin to represent Taxon, a character in my ongoing AD&D campaign

Printed and painted a bunch of spiky critters in a variety of scales. Schlossbauer model, I think.

Designed an Afrika Korps crew to sit in a Bergman Kubelwagen (1:100)

Printed and painted theis Hazardous Environment Suit from Digital Taxidermy (28mm)

MARCH

Designed, printed and painted a model of the SdKfz 6/3 Diana (1:100)

Printed and painted some squigs (28mm)

Printed some scatter terrain — barrels galore (28mm)

Printed some FDG dungeon furniture. This one was a modified piece; the top of the door didn't print properly, so I added a grille to it.

Experiment with rescaling one of Printable Scenery's 28mm buildings to 6mm and printing it on my Ender3. This house is about an inch long.

Redesigned my 1:100 Bob Semple tank to be suitable for FDM printing.

Printed and assembled one of WindhamGraves' US half-tracks (1:100) in FDM. I haven't (yet) got around to painting it or providing it with a crew.

APRIL

1:144 scale Horsa, also from WindhamGraves. Shown here with some 15mm PSC paratroopers.

Designed, printed and painted a 1:100 "Sun Shield" tank disguise, shown here with the M3 Grant it was used on.

Interwar Vickers Mk.I Infantry Tank (1:100)

28mm Call of Cthulhu paper minis from Okum Arts. I designed and printed the standee bases they're standing in.

MAY

Designed a 1:144 scale Gladiator (Blender render)

Another 1:144 Horsa, in landed/unloading configuration

Designed a rack module for my Vallejo dropper bottles

JUNE

Designed a German DFS 230 assault glider (1:144)

Kitbashed FDG's Goblin King so that he was sitting on his throne (28mm)

AUGUST

1:144 Bristol Blenheim from Roman Troyan, printed on my Ender3 and painted in desert livery.

Designed this 1:144 scale Typhoon

Designed this 1:144 scale Tempest

P-47 "Jug" from Roman Troyan, printed at 1:144 scale

P-40 Tomahawk in British desert colours (1:144)

SEPTEMBER

Designed this 1:100 Martel tankette prototype

Another P-47 Thunderbolt, this time a bubble-top

OCTOBER

1:144 Sturmovik from Roman Troyan

Designed this Polikarpov I-153

Painted my 1:144 Gladiator in Home Service livery

Painted the Gladiator in desert colours

1:144 Bristol Bulldog from Roman Troyan

DECEMBER

Designed this 1:144 SPAD XIII

Rescaled and painted my SE5a to 1:144

Designed this 1:144 Fokker D-VII

Took one of Captain Ahab's low-detail models of a Fokker Dr-1 and jazzed it up a bit. Printed in 1:144

Gorgeous stuff! You should be proud of your year. I am thinking that maybe for 2024 I will try to do like I've seen others -- track numbers of figures bought and numbers painted. Then again, maybe I don't want to know that information... lol
