Thanks for all the replies.
I must get some Carnivale buildings. I am not very disciplined putting in the time to put MDF buildings together (I have a pile sitting around unmade), but Carnivale seem the best option for some fancier buildings.
Commisary Moody - I like the Dark Mistress model - both alluring and rather sinister looking. You are absolutely correct about the fancy-dress of Lucrezia's workers, nymphs may be a good option. The sacles and ales tavern could work, perhaps needsing a little modifying.
Capt Try Tempest - using a search for DnD scenery certainly worked better than using either medieval or Renaissance as search terms.
Patrice - I think you are right about the building itself,I just need soomething that is opulent as Donna Lucretzia's is is very exclusive. It is the internal furnishing that is difficult.
SJWi - that's a great link. The chairs in their "Eccentric" range would also work.
Leunstoelgeneraalbd - cheers. Anything from Mirliton might have to wait until I am next in Europe - the postage is excessive to New Zealand. There is some great stuff there.
Mae Preta's at the bottom end of R. Visconde de Mauá in Salvador. A famous/infamous establishment it's almost medieval, being essentially a crumbling ruin perched on the side of the hill. Sits almost above an 18thC baroque basilica.
I can't give you a personal recommendation but I doubt its services run to running water let alone bottles of wine. Probably possessed of an excellent view if nothing else.
I used to pass by on a regular basis when I lived further up the hill. I'd recommend a degree of caution walking up that street and suggest you stick to daylight hours only.

Might give it a miss!
