Excellent - I would guess that getting that result on the Inquisition figures was not an easy job. That subtle shading on that colour is very impressive.

Thanks.  The subtle shading is the result of a rather chalky contrast after 5 shades of red & orange.  Calmed down by a wash of orange ink (GW ink from the 80's!). Totally unplanned but it worked out in the end.

Great set - I do love a pulp figure or two and these are a super selection.

Is the first figure JRRT by any chance?

I do like his and Einstein's base - a nice stony / grassy mix.

Very nice painting. Who makes that JRRT figure?

Thanks.

JRRT is a figure by Bears Head Miniatures. From the Lost Miniatures Wiki: Bears Head Miniatures was run by Phil Hynes and ran several Kickstarter campaigns for miniatures. In 2021 Phil decided to sell his ranges and some have gone to Bad Squiddo Games, Great Escape Games and Dwarven Forge.

Maybe Annie would know?

The grass mix is from Geek Gaming: taiga hillside terrain.
