Siege of Minas Tirith 40mm Style
« on: February 05, 2024, 10:10:43 PM »
Well it took 20 years for this project to finally see the light but it turned out pretty well to my way of thinking. I have a long topic over on this forum.

Well, that’s quite something! I had no idea there were suitable figures in 40mm for Lord of the Rings games. Beautiful work!

Extremely impressive!  :o

Are the armies made up from the clicky figures from back in the day maybe? Or did you perhaps print them?
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...

Thanks for the kind comment fellas.

Yes all the foot figures are the LOTR combat click game back in the day, pre-painted and really cheap! The siege towers and trolls puching them and all of the orc catapults were also bought 20 years ago from the Armies of Middle Earth toys that came out.

wowee!  Amazing table must have a been a fun game.

Sadly those combat hex figs are harder to get these days. I'm a big fan of this scale and have a limited number of the orcs and others. Like you say that they are prepainted is helpful. I have found them very easy to convert; they love superglue. I'd love to get more.

Nice conversion on those fortress walls.  I do like the way terrain can be adapted to 40mm.

I'm basing all mine on 25mm square which means their footprint it not much bigger than 28mm.

Thanks for sharing Paul!
