Havana 1762 Landing at Cojimar SP AAR
« on: February 17, 2024, 09:07:39 PM »
Looking for some different settings for SP games I decided on expanding my 7yW in the Carribean with the British attack on Havana in 1762.  I used Stuart Insch's Against Spain booklet as inspiration. This scenario is a  beach assault to the east of Havana Harbor on the morning of June 6, 1762 by the British Lights and Grenadiers There was a small stone fort at Cojimar and perhaps a breastwork. I had no stone fort so went with a redoubt. It was a simple game to get players acquainted with the theatre and new unit types. Sharp Practice rules and 15mm minis   It was a simple game to get players acquainted with the theatre.

That's a great looking game lads, bigger than I could have put on myself.

Nice to see the scenario's are getting a run out. How did it go with SP?

Thanks for sharing 😊

This looks great. I love games that are off the beaten track.

Lovely little fight there.  My wife and I actually visited Cojimar in 2017, on a side trip from Havana.  Nice little town.  FYI, below is one of the pics I took of that stone fort you mentioned.

Incidentally, they also have a memorial to Ernest Hemingway across the street from the fort.  Apparently he wrote the Old Man and the Sea there...

The one I used myself was from Slug Industries.

It's a lovely model and certainly of a very similar design.
