Thanks for the replies, all.

The Crocodile Games ones look good, but it seems you can only buy them in units, and the only UK stockist I can find seems to be permanently out of stock.

@Will Baillie - I'm looking for figures in armour, preferably. Certainly with hoplon, either spear or sword. I'd prefer something quite uniform if possible.
I'm after 6 to 8 hoplites, a Hero type and potentially 4 or 5 archers but they're negotiable.

I had seen the Bad Squiddo  ones, but there's too much variation in equipment for what I'm looking for, nice though they are.

@bluewillow - so the Shadowforge ones are OK if you have something big enough to hide them behind?  lol

I

The crocodile Amazon's are particularly nice. You can buy individual figures. Dark Pyramid doesn't hold stock but will order in whatever you want. Save you postage from US.

Here's my attempt at the Lucid Eye Amazons as allies for my Trojans. They are tall and slender, but you'll not find better if you want Bronze Age Amazons.

More pictures and ingo on the blog. https://irregularwars.blogspot.com/2021/04/projecttroy-28mm-amazons.html

Just in case anyone is still interested, the Amazons I ordered from Bronze Age via Fenris Games turned up this week.

I'm really happy with them, they are nicely proportioned if slim figures, obviously female but not in a cheesy way - they look like proper armoured warriors not pin ups or blow up dolls.

The classical Greek style fits really well with the rest of my OGAM figures.

I will replace the cast spears they are supplied with because they are a bit too bendy, but that is the only minor quibble with them.

I hope that review helps others make a decision.
Thank you all for your replies and suggestions, much appreciated.  :)

The Bronze Age Amazons sound perfect for what you want to do.  For those who might be thinking of Amazons and wanting something different something that comes to mind are the Tekumel miniatures.

About 1/4 of the way down the page are female warriors.

If "soon" indicates some time before the heat death of the universe,  then hopefully, yes.

Noticed this figure is available again from Northstar. It is a really nice figure of which I have a few in my hoplite ranks. It would be great if there was an armoured version and an archer maybe.

Brother Vinni also do some if you don’t mind them starkers!

He said he was looking for decent figures, not indecent ones!    :)
