Anyone know who does a 28mm Saxon in the Sutton Hoo/Raedwald armour?
I know Footsore do one.
Anyone else?

What about a sprue of Victrix Early Saxon Armoured Infantry? That has a Sutton Hoo helm as an option. You'd have 6 bodies to choose from. Even give him a bodyguard.

As above, couple of nice options on the Victrix sprue that read as more than just regular soldiers. Here's a commander and banner I built for example.

In metal, Warlord games have a Saxon warlord pack (sculpted by Colin Patten when he was running Saxon Miniatures)
https://store.warlordgames.com/products/saxon-warlords

First corps have a warlord and standard bearer with a Sutton Hoo type helm

I have all of these and if you want metal these are perfectly decent. For me though, the new Victrix plastic ones make them somewhat obsolete.

We have a winner.
That Warlord one is spot on!

I always though GB did one but I couldn't find it. Mind you, am I the only that finds their new(ish) website much harder to find stuff than the old one? I'm sure they don't want to hear that because I dare say they spent a bit of money on a new website but I just find it a lot more frustrating and long-winded to navigate than the old one. Probably just me.

Here's my take on the WG model

And no you're not the only one that struggles with the Gripping Beast website

Seems most manufacturers that offer the period have a figure and we can add Westwind to the list

I paint up the odd "Arthurian" miniature from time to time; Gripping Beast does the miniature on the right.....

Take a look at Medbury Miniatures' Vendels. Graham Green entered a painted unit of them at Salute. I believe that some of them may be available in metal, but you would need to check that out.

I found the Warlord/Saxon Miniatures figure to be flat. Looks ok from the front but is thin from the side.

Agree with that. Bit more 2D than ideal. Of course, it might be that's he's been spending so much time pillaging those Romano-British types, he's had no time to spend in the mead hall. Either way, I wish I had a stomach as flat ...

Funny that, it's almost like people. ;) :P

I no longer look thin from the side. Or any other angle, if I’m honest.
