Cyberpunk: Combat Zone... any thoughts?

I'm generally not a fan of licensed games, but I kind of like the idea and look of this one. The small footprint with all the terrain and stuff included is nice. All my other projects have home made terrain and units so having an all-in-one box of something appeals.

However... is the game any good? Does it have legs? Anyone play it with thoughts they can share?

It's a bit of a shame they're hard to find in mainland Europe. I really want the new Edge Runners set, but so far the pre-order is only from their website. And ordering from the US is a huuuuge no go nowadays

They're supposed to have distribution through Warlord, or at least Warlord carried all their first releases till they sold out.

I reckon they're pretty busy with kickstarter fulfilment and they've got another one on the horizon.

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing some of their printed stuff is done in China so they might be subject to the some shipping problems as everyone else. Could be wrong though.

The kickstarter business model really is a pain in the arse.

What ever the case, it's definately a slow trickle for their wares to reach Europe.

I haven’t played it yet but a friend has the intro set. I’ll ask him about the rules and game play. I’m also curious what the game mechanics are. I played the role playing game a lot in the early 90s and it would be cool if the tabletop game captured that feeling.
