lol My first thought when I looked at the picture was, “I wonder if that guy is going to lose a leg when that thing recoils.” And you answered the question admirably! It’s a cool looking model, as with the earliest figures, quite businesslike.
Yeah it is still a very dangerous place for them to sit, but better than replacing your gunner every shot.  ;D

Still needs varnishing but a finished Forgeworld hellhound kit, I've been enjoying doing vehicles more than infantry and weapon teams at the moment which is why things have slowed down even more than usual. Even thinking about painting up ye old Baneblade kit for this project, it'll be the third paintjob it's had but I might finish it this time.  ;)

No painting but I have converted some more units.
First up a squad of engineers using some, possibly, genestealer hybrid shotguns, the main trouble was finding arms to fit especially with the chest plates getting in the way, but a bit of putty fills the gap.
And after that a squad of death riders, nice and easy head swaps and they're all done.

Continuing the current system of building stuff but never painting it, I've converted a platoon standard.
Was going to make a pennant or something for it but with the big topper I might leave it as is.

Trench Crusade is attacking from all directions :P

The last mini looks pretty characterful.

GW will release new Krieg minis soon. Then you will have more brothers in arms.

Yup, saw that, I'm looking forward to them coming out, also tempted to add the Heresy Valdor and Infernus tanks.

A whole pile, well small heap, of minis this time. First up a Commissar to accompany the company command squad, first resin figure for the army as well, got a squad of grenadiers to build too.
After that there's the Quartermaster and his medics (servitors but not servitors), this was originally going to be a priest but was reassigned after I started working on the Krieg siege regiment list. And I make no apologies.  ;D
Last up the Leman Russ Vanquisher, used to accompany some Valhallans till they got sold, needed a bit of work to tidy it up, but left the rough spots to make it look used.

Excellent progress and painting so far.

Please excuse my ignorance but though I have never played Kill Team I got the impression it was a skirmish game but your force so far with three tanks and a number of heavy weapons seems quite major for a skirmish game or can you go big with Kill Team?

Yeah, kill team is a skirmish game, I'm just using the figures from the Death Korps kill team set to build an army, combined with other bits and pieces. After the starter box with them and the Ork kommandos was released I was able to get a load at reasonable prices, less chance of that now with the new sets that are coming out and all the old resin going OOP.
