papercraft terrain (tips and links)
« on: 12 June 2024, 05:59:25 PM »
I have received some messages asking about the cardboard buildings I use to play Frontline heroes and Fear of the Dark, so I have decided to update a post I made several years ago, adding more info and pics.

This post is about papercraft buildings and terrain for playing miniatures wargames: how to make them fold flat, with links to free buildings, tips, examples and as always lots of pictures.

I hope it helps as the better the gaming table looks the more inmersive is the experience of playing.

these are some example of the gaming tables I use while playing:

I had a lot of papercraft terrain some years ago, mostly WorldWorksGames. Their fold-flat modern building are great and I used their system, with some modifications, to create my own designs, as you did. Filling a table with nice-looking terrain can not be done cheaper. With a few props here and there (again, WWG has all kinds of modern city props), the effect is very convincing. And if something gets damages or ripped, just print it out again, cutm fold and glue, and for maybe a dollar in ink costs and half an hour of work you have your replacement :)
